What is CBG?
CBG stands for Cannabigerol and is one of over 120 different cannabinoids found in Cannabis Sativa. It is often said that CBG is the mother of all cannabinoids. In the life of the hemp plant, there is almost only CBGa (cannabigerolic acid). Over time, this acid is converted into cannabinoids, including CBD, CBN, CBD, THC, and only a small amount of CBG remains in the plant. Today there are hemp varieties, such as Matterhorn and Santhica, which contain high levels of CBG. In the hemp varieties where CBG is dominant, there is very little of the other cannabinoids.
Why a CBD + CBG oil?
Like CBD, CBG is not psychotropic. CBG should not be considered as something that will replace CBD, but instead should be considered as something that works together with CBD.
