About Func Fungi
Mushrooms grown in the Nordics
Func Fungi started with a simple idea: functional mushrooms should be easier to find, in a quality we wanted ourselves. The mushrooms are grown under controlled conditions in the Nordics, and Lion’s Mane grows on birch from PEFC and FSC certified forestry.
We only use the fruiting body, the visible part of the mushroom. The products contain no mycelium, no added starch and no grain, and the mushrooms are extracted with ultrasound.
The range covers four mushrooms, Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Reishi and Cordyceps, as 50 ml tinctures and 30 g powdered extracts. Everything is organic, vegan and GMO free, and every batch is tested by an independent lab.

What Func Fungi makes
The mushrooms come as tinctures and as powdered extracts. Two starter packs bring three mushrooms together in the same form, one with tinctures and one with extracts.
Lion’s Mane
Hericium erinaceus, a white mushroom with long, hanging spines. Available as tincture and extract.
Chaga
Inonotus obliquus, which grows on birch and looks like a black, cracked lump. Available as tincture and extract.
Reishi
Ganoderma lucidum, a polypore with a glossy, red brown cap that has been used in Asia for centuries. Available as tincture.
Cordyceps
A mushroom with slim, club shaped fruiting bodies in orange. Available as tincture and extract.

What is Func Fungi?

Where are the mushrooms grown?
Under controlled conditions in the Nordics. Lion’s Mane is grown on birch from PEFC and FSC certified forestry.
What is the difference between a tincture and an extract?
The tincture is a liquid in a 50 ml bottle with a dropper. The extract is a 30 g powder concentrated 15:1, which means 15 parts mushroom become one part extract.
Why fruiting bodies only?
Many mushroom products are made from mycelium grown on grain, which brings grain and starch into the product. Func Fungi uses fruiting bodies only, with no mycelium, starch or grain.
Are the products tested?
Yes. Every batch is tested by an independent lab. The products are organic, vegan and GMO free.
What is in the starter packs?
The tincture starter pack holds Lion’s Mane, Chaga and Reishi, 50 ml of each. The extract starter pack holds Chaga, Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps, 30 g of each.
