What are CBD flowers?
CBD flowers, or CBD buds, are the flower tops of the hemp plant that have been dried and cured. The flowers are where the trichomes sit, the tiny crystals that hold the cannabinoids and terpenes. Unlike oils and extracts, the flowers are not processed further, so every variety keeps its own aroma and character.
Our flowers come from EU-approved varieties of industrial hemp and contain less than 0.3% THC. The differences between varieties show mostly in the aroma, which is shaped by genetics, terpene profile and how the flowers were grown and cured.

How to choose a variety
Four things that set the varieties apart
Indica
Indica varieties usually have a deeper and fuller aroma, with notes of berries, earth, herbs or spices. Many are compact and dense in structure.
Sativa
Sativa varieties are often described as fresher and lighter in aroma, with citrus, fruit and floral notes. The flowers are often a little airier.
Hybrid
Hybrids are crosses that combine traits from both and land somewhere in between, often with a fruity top and an earthy or spicy base.
CBD content
We state the CBD content as the sum of CBD and CBDA from the lab report, so the varieties can be compared directly. In our range most are between 14 and 23%.

Our CBD flowers are grown by a small number of certified growers in Italy and Spain that we have worked with for several years. That gives us insight into every step, from plant to finished flower, and lets us choose varieties by CBD content, aroma and structure. Most varieties are grown in greenhouses, with natural light and a controlled climate.
Every batch is tested by an independent laboratory that measures the cannabinoids and checks that the THC content is below 0.3%. The lab report is on the product page. The flowers are packed in light-proof and airtight pouches that keep the right moisture level, read more about the pouches we use.

Growing
Naturally grown and carefully cured
We work with growers who avoid chemical pesticides and artificial additives. Instead, the plants are protected with natural methods such as biological pest control and crop rotation.
After harvest, the flowers are dried and cured slowly. Curing is when the aroma rounds off and the structure settles, and it makes a big part of the difference between a good flower and a really good one.
