About PAX

What is PAX?

PAX was started in 2007 in San Francisco by James Monsees and Adam Bowen, who at the time called the company Ploom. The first PAX vaporizer arrived in 2012 and quickly became known for its simple design and its oven for dry herbs.

The PAX 2 followed in 2015 and the PAX 3 in 2016. In 2017 Juul became a separate company, and PAX has since continued to develop vaporizers under its own name.

The PAX Plus and PAX Mini arrived in 2022, and in 2025 the Mini 2 and the Flow were launched. The Mini 2 is a small and light model for everyday use, while the Flow has hybrid heating for more vapour.
