Description

The Volcano Hybrid Onyx is Storz & Bickel’s classic desktop vaporizer in an all-black Onyx edition. It combines the Volcano’s well-known balloon system with a tube for direct inhalation, so you can choose whatever suits the moment. The technology is the same as in the standard Volcano Hybrid, the difference is the matte black finish.

Heating & Performance

The Volcano Hybrid heats the air by convection and blows it through the herbs in the ceramic-coated chamber. It reaches 180°C in about 40 seconds, and the chamber holds about 6.5 cm³, which makes it well suited for longer sessions and for sharing.

Balloon and Tube

With the balloon, vapour is filled in advance and inhaled through the EASY VALVE mouthpiece with almost no draw resistance. With the tube, you inhale directly from the device, with an airflow of up to 30 litres per minute. Both methods are included in the box.

Temperature Control

You set the temperature with the buttons and read it on the display, with any temperature between 40°C and 230°C. The Volcano Hybrid can also be controlled via the Storz & Bickel web app over Bluetooth, where you can save your own temperature profiles.

Design & Use

The Volcano Hybrid is a desktop model for use at home and runs on mains power, so there is no battery to charge. Measuring about 20 × 18 × 20 cm, it stands firmly on the table, and the chamber comes off easily for filling and cleaning.

Warranty

Storz & Bickel provides a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty, which can be extended by one more year when you register the vaporizer with the manufacturer.

What does Hybrid mean in Volcano Hybrid?

Hybrid refers to the two ways you can inhale: through the balloon, which is filled in advance, or directly through the tube. The classic Volcano only has the balloon system.

What is the difference between Onyx and a standard Volcano Hybrid?

Onyx is an all-black edition with a matte finish. Features, temperature range and accessories are the same as in the standard Volcano Hybrid.

Do you need the web app to use the Volcano Hybrid?

No. Temperature, heating and the air pump are controlled directly with the buttons on the device. The web app is optional if you want to save your own temperature profiles or control it from your phone or computer.

Can you take the Volcano Hybrid with you?

How do you clean the Volcano Hybrid?

The filling chamber comes off by hand and is emptied and brushed out with the included brush. Balloons and mouthpieces are replaced at regular intervals, and spare parts are available separately.
