Voon at a glance
- Voon is a Swedish brand from SpectrumLeaf AB near Helsingborg that makes CBD pouches, also known as CBD snus.
- Each pouch contains 20 mg of water-soluble CBD extract from hemp, and a can holds 15 pouches.
- Voon is free from tobacco, nicotine and THC, and it is vegan.
What is Voon?
Voon is a nicotine-free pouch where CBD takes the place of nicotine. The pouches look and are used like ordinary white snus pouches, but they are filled with a plant-based filler, flavourings and CBD extract from hemp. The brand is owned by SpectrumLeaf AB, a Swedish company based in Berga near Helsingborg.
We started selling Voon in 2023, when Generalens Hampa paused production of its Hemp Pouches. Since then the range has grown from a couple of flavours to around ten.
If you want to know more about CBD pouches in general, how they are made and how they differ from regular snus, read our guide to CBD pouches.
What is in Voon CBD pouches?
The ingredients are the same in all CBD flavours, only the flavouring differs. A typical ingredient list looks like this:
- Filler in the form of cellulose (E460), which gives the pouch its shape and feel.
- Sweeteners, such as maltitol (E965) and acesulfame K (E950).
- CBD extract from hemp, Cannabis sativa, 20 mg per pouch.
- Flavourings that give each variety its taste.
- Glycerol (E422), which keeps the pouch moist.
CBD is naturally fat-soluble and does not mix well with water. Voon therefore uses water-soluble CBD, where the extract has been processed into very small droplets that can be spread evenly through a moist pouch. We explain the technology in more detail in our guide to CBD pouches.
The pouches are so-called all white portions, meaning white pouches without the brown colour that regular snus gets from tobacco. They come in slim or mini format depending on the flavour.

Voon comes in around ten flavours that fall into three groups. The range changes now and then as new flavours are added, so see the full Voon range for what is in stock right now.

Voon Super Mojito: caffeine instead of CBD
Voon Super Mojito stands out in the range. It contains no CBD, but 50 mg of caffeine and 20 mg of L-theanine per pouch, with a lime and mint flavour. Like the rest of Voon, it is free from tobacco and nicotine.
L-theanine is an amino acid found naturally in tea. Its combination with caffeine has been examined in several studies, including a British study from 2008 in which participants performed better on tasks requiring attention after caffeine and L-theanine than after a placebo. That study did, however, use higher doses of L-theanine than a pouch of Super Mojito contains.
How to use Voon
- Place the pouch under your upper lip, just like a regular snus pouch.
- Start with one pouch and see how it suits you before taking another.
- Throw used pouches away with your household waste.
Voon is not intended for children or pregnant women. If you take medication, it is wise to talk to your doctor before using CBD.
Storage and shelf life
Store the cans somewhere cool and dark and out of reach of children. An unopened can keeps for at least a year, and an opened can should be used within six months.
Is Voon legal?
Voon contains neither THC nor nicotine. CBD itself is not listed in the UN drug conventions, and in most European countries what decides whether a hemp product is legal is its THC content. The rules vary from country to country, so check what applies where you live.
