About Purize
What is Purize?
Purize was founded in 2016 by Roberto Hunger in Bad Brückenau in Bavaria. The idea was an activated carbon filter small enough for hand-rolled papers, and in May 2017 the first slim filter went on sale online.
In 2018 the company moved to Großräschen in Brandenburg, bought the site a year later and built up its own production there. Purize Filters GmbH & Co. KG has since grown to around 50 employees, and Roberto Hunger runs the company together with Adrian Klett.
The filters are filled with activated carbon made from coconut shells and have ceramic caps at both ends. Next to XTRA Slim, Regular and BIG, Purize launched a conical filter in 2022, and the range now also includes papers, glass tips, grinders and smell proof bags.
