What does 40 percent mean?
The percentage shows how much of the oil is CBD. An oil at 40 percent contains 400 mg of CBD per ml, twice as much as a 20 percent oil and four times as much as a 10 percent oil. A 10 ml bottle holds 4,000 mg and a 30 ml bottle 12,000 mg.
The high concentration means the bottle lasts a long time and you do not need larger volumes of oil. The oil is therefore mainly suited to people who already know CBD oils and want a more concentrated option.
Broad spectrum with the hemp plant’s own compounds
The oil is made from a broad spectrum extract. This means that besides CBD it contains smaller amounts of other cannabinoids and natural terpenes from the hemp, but no THC. Many people prefer broad spectrum to pure isolate because of the so-called entourage effect, the theory that the compounds in hemp work together. Research in this area is still ongoing. The extract is blended with organic MCT oil, which has a mild taste and stays stable.
Lower price per milligram
CBD in high concentration usually costs more per bottle, but less per milligram. That is why we show the price per milligram of cannabinoids on the product page, so you can compare oils of different strengths. If you want an even broader profile, there is also Premium CBG + CBD oil 40%. It contains around 20 percent CBD and 20 percent CBG, a total of about 4,000 mg of cannabinoids in 10 ml. CBG is a cannabinoid found in smaller amounts in most hemp strains.
Tested by an independent laboratory
The oil is tested by the independent laboratory PharmaHemp Laboratories. The analysis confirms the content of CBD and other cannabinoids and that the oil is free from THC. What is the difference between 20 and 40 percent?
