Raw Hemp Sponsored FCR 17 in Uppsala with Pannie Kianzad

FCR 17 at Fyrishov

Fight Club Rush, or FCR, is the largest MMA organisation in Scandinavia. On 9 September 2023 it came to Uppsala for the first time, in Hall A at Fyrishov, and Raw Hemp was there as a sponsor.

The main event was meant to be a flyweight title fight between Jonny Touma and Renato Vidovic, but it was cancelled. Instead, the bout between Sweden’s Christopher Bajo and Finland’s Toni Lampinen became the main event, and Bajo won by TKO in the second round.

Pannie Kianzad, Raw Hemp ambassador

Pannie Kianzad is a Swedish MMA fighter born in Ahvaz, Iran. She reached the final of The Ultimate Fighter 28 and competed in the UFC from 2019 to 2024, as the first female UFC fighter of Persian descent. Her highest ranking was sixth in the UFC women’s bantamweight division, in July 2023.

Pannie is a keen user of our Muscle & Joint Cream for recovery after training. The cream works like a liniment: it feels cooling at first and then turns into a warming sensation. Alongside 250 mg of CBD, it contains arnica, devil’s claw, L-glutamine, wintergreen oil, menthol and camphor. Our article on warming and cooling CBD liniments explains how the different types work.

During the event, a film with Pannie was shown on the arena’s big screens, in which she talks about how she uses the cream. You can watch it here:

Why we sponsor MMA

MMA demands hard training, and recovery between sessions is a big part of everyday life for competitors. That is where our products fit in, which makes combat sports a natural home for Raw Hemp. Sponsoring FCR 17 was a way to support Swedish MMA and meet the audience in person. The FCR website has more about the organisation and upcoming events.
